Hand Sanitizer gel and Hand Sanitizer Mist
Hand Sanitizer Gel
Hand Sanitizers are used for disinfecting visibly clean hands. In the past Hand sanitizer gels were one of the only sanitizer options available to consumers. Today, there are a vast range of hand sanitizers available but which one is the best?
Hand sanitizer gels, foams and mists may contain the same amount of alcohol and have the same claims to kill 99.99% of germs – however they usually differ in a few ways.
More than 40% of bacteria on the hands are found underneath fingernails and around the cuticle areas. These are also the areas of hands most often missed in hand washing with soap and water.

Hand Sanitizer mists are usually most useful as the fine mist can penetrate the cuticles and other hard to reach areas that foams and gels can not reach.
Hand sanitizer mists are also beneficial in that the amount required to disinfect hands is significantly less than sanitizer gels or sanitizer foams.
The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) recommends using alcohol-based hand sanitizers on visibly clean hands when soap and water are unavailable.
